Character Name: Allelujah/Hallelujah Haptism
Series: Mobile Suit Gundam 00
Canon Point: Season 1, Episode 25
Summary/History: Here.
Personality: Allelujah's personality is a little hard to pin down precisely, because what you see isn't always what you get. Allelujah is normally a very gentle person, someone who's kind and thinks of others, and speaks softly and politely. He knows how to buckle down and go to work, and why he should follow the mission (though he has been known to deviate on very rare occasions), but is hesitant to kill. For a while, he hung back on the Ptolemaios to make sure that no one else was hurt while the others were on missions. He is very patient, compassionate, and follows orders without complaint, but he won't hesitate to stand up for what he believes is right (he saved civilians in a drifting gravity block and was locked up for a week and didn't seem to mind at all).
Hallelujah, his alternate personality, is another story. Since Hallelujah was formed under a great deal of stress and turmoil, he takes over for things that Allelujah doesn't want to do. He has a very strong sense of survival – kill or be killed is pretty much the only rule that he sticks to. When Allelujah escaped with some of the other 'failed' experiments, Hallelujah took over and shot the others, in order to give him enough air to survive. Allelujah feels responsible for things that Hallelujah does, because it's still him. Hallelujah's manner of speaking is also extremely rude, insulting people as he fights against them. He also likes making people uncomfortable by telling them how upset Allelujah is by what Hallelujah is doing. In fact, he seems to downright enjoy hurting people, laughing and cackling and taunting the entire time.
Allelujah depends on Hallelujah to get out of tough situations, even though he feels guilty about it. He has a problem with being alone, and if Hallelujah ever left him (like he thought Hallelujah did in season two) he would be crushed. As much as he hates to admit it, Hallelujah has been with him longer than anyone else, and knows him better than anyone else. His advice isn't always bad, just not tactful or what most people would even see as sane, but he genuinely wants Allelujah to survive.
One peculiarity about Allelujah is that he sometimes talks to "himself". In his mind's eye, he can see Hallelujah standing near him, and they'll sometimes have conversations – though this usually consists of Hallelujah trying to convince Allelujah to his point of view. Occasionally Allelujah will say something out loud, and not realize that whoever's near him can't hear Hallelujah. When caught, he just brushes it off with something along the lines of "it's nothing", though it does worry him.
He honestly doesn't want to have a split personality, he doesn't want to be a soldier, he doesn't want to fight and kill and hurt people and have to eek out this existence of violence and bloodshed just to have a place in the world. He has no idea who he really is, or was, or could have been before he was kidnapped as he has no memory. He has a vague idea that he's from Kazakhstan but no clue who his parents were. His assumption is that he was a refugee due to the Solar Wars, but if his parents are alive or dead there's no real clue. He wouldn't know what it's like to have a family anyway - the crew on the Ptolmey is like a family in some ways, but really the only other person he has is Hallelujah. This fuels his desire to help others, because he doesn't want to be alone. He lost Marie (though extremely recently he realized she wasn't so far away at all) and Celestial Being lost a lot of people in the battle he was taken from, and before that they lost Lockon as well. He's accepted that people will leave, through death or fear, so he keeps more of his insecurities to himself - but he still tries to treat people with kindness anyway. The name Marie gave him means 'give thanks to God', and while he's not religious at all he wants to believe that one day someone will offer kindness to him in return - though he has a hard time believing it.
Powers/Abilities: Allelujah is an expert pilot. Though he usually pilots the Gundam Kyrios, he could probably figure out how to pilot other things. Having Hallelujah is a bit of a strength, though he sometimes doesn't think so, because Hallelujah is willing to do things that Allelujah just feels are morally wrong. Allelujah and Hallelujah can combine to become "the perfect soldier", a mixture of planning and battle senses, able to process his reflexes fast enough to act on them (like a second processor in a computer boosting the speed). As another note, even though it doesn't come up in the series much, since Allelujah is modified for combat, he could probably hold his own in a fistfight, though he's much more used to fighting in a Gundam.
He can also utilize quantum brain waves, giving him super reflexes. The brain waves also allow him to communicate with others using the same brain waves and sense some of their thoughts - though this ability is quite weak for him. If someone is on the exact same wavelength, however, it is incredibly painful and grows even more so as the other person gets closer, to the point of making him pass out from pain unless Hallelujah takes over. There is some evidence to suggest that Hallelujah in particular can sense danger using these waves as well. His body is pumped full of nanomachines to survive extremely long periods in space, as well. It has been modified to be much stronger, faster, and better than a normal human's, though it's not quite superhuman. It seems he can also keep accurate track of time in his head as well.
Notably, Hallelujah can hide information from Allelujah if he chooses to, but Allelujah cannot hide information from Hallelujah.
He speaks several languages - Russian, English, Japanese, and a bit of Kazakh, and while it's not stated in series, considering the super soldier training and his own training with mobile suits, it's likely that he has a good amount of general technical knowledge as well.
Items on your character: His pilot suit and civilian clothes underneath. Otherwise, he's got nothing.
